Qatar is one of the contenders to host the 2022 version of the event and though that does sound a long time away the architects have already turned in their concepts for the stadiums. Designed by Albert Speer & Partner GmbH, these 5 concept-stadiums display striking and dramatic facades and incorporate state-of-the-art technology in an effort to stand out from the crowd bidding to host the event.
UPDATE: Qatar has been confirmed as the hosting nation for the 2022 World Cup. Also Russia has been voted to host the event in 2018.
