4 Beautiful Homes with a White Theme

SHARE
Pops of color, chevron stripes, and sparkling chandeliers aren't right for everyone. For home that displays a timeless elegance and conveys a sense of calm to anyone who crosses the threshold there is perhaps no better choice than white. From rich cream shades to cool, classic marble to pure flat white paint, it creates an instant peace. The four homes here use white, along with complementary shades of gray, taupe, and natural wood. The homes are each unique, but the white theme persists. Far from being boring, the use of white actually allows a tremendous sense of change, where shadows and natural light actually become the focal point of the design. Step inside these beautiful snow white homes and get inspired.

The first home is a private residence at the Toya Golf & Country Club in Wrocław. The tony location is no surprise if you look inside. Many surfaces are made of or supported by slick white marble. But though marble may be a bit decadent and generally cool to the touch, there are elements throughout the space that warm things up. The use of a cozy gray – in linens and upholstery as well as a thick, soft area rug – give the home a much more livable feel. Accents including creative sculptures and soft overhead lighting further personalize the stunning design.

The second home sheds immediate light on the many different ways that white can manifest. While the space certainly has its own pure and peaceful focus the whites here are much warmer and earthier than they were in the country club residence. A cream sofa looks inviting – not off putting – while neutral tones and natural wood give the home its own sense of casual warmth.

In this next space, bright white serves to open up a modern home while artistic choices give it a burst of creativity. Walls, countertops, and ceilings are a spectacular white here while more white marble lets light bounce off of virtually every surface. The open floor plan has the modern kitchen connect seamlessly with the dining and living spaces. The only darkness that creeps in comes in the form of dark wood veneer on a few key pieces, ensuring that the room does not become blinding in the heat of the day.

The final space is perhaps the smallest and coziest of the bunch. Light wood flooring perfect complements the white walls while textures throughout soften the overall effect. Like previous homes, this one uses light neutral gray as well as a few dark wood pieces to create a unified design that feels clean, open, and lovely.
