KUAN Studio takes its name from one of the divination symbols in the classic Chinese book the I Ching, which is also known as the book of contemplation. The firm, based in Montevideo, Uruguay, manifests this essence through projects that seem to encapsulate the nature of the senses as they relate to design: sight, smell, sound, and touch. An exploration of some of KUAN's projects reveals how this materializes.
